Business and Commercial Law and Litigation:  Kiernan & Strenk provides a full menu of services to business clients, from advice on the selection of the type of organizational entity under which to operate, the sale or purchase of businesses, the preparation of agreements, the management issues arising from operation of the business, through sale or dissolution of the business.  The firm represents corporate clients with disputes arising out of corporate and commercial transactions in all courts.

 Personal Injury - Plaintiff:  Kiernan & Strenk represents persons seeking the recovery of money against others who, by their actions or failure to take action, have caused bodily injury and damages.  The injury may be caused by a motor vehicle accident, a fall due to a dangerous condition of property, a defective product, or a workplace accident.

 Personal Injury - Defendant:  Kiernan & Strenk has represented and continues to represent a large variety of insured, self-insured and uninsured individuals and business entities in the defense of personal injury claims.  The claims defended range from the areas of automobile and truck accidents, product defects, premises liability.

 Litigation and Appeals:  Kiernan & Strenk represents and advises clients involved in a broad range of disputes, both before and after suit or an appeal is filed, in such areas as contracts, commercial matters, debt collection, insurance coverage, education law, civil rights, Workers' Compensation and property disputes.

 Commercial and Residential Real Estate:  Kiernan & Strenk represents individuals and commercial clients in transactions dealing with real property--land and the structures upon the land--including purchase and sale, construction, preliminary and final site plan approvals, variances, mortgages and foreclosures, leases and residential and non-residential closings.

 Land Use, Local and Municipal Law:  Kiernan & Strenk represents both individuals and businesses in matters before planning and zoning boards of adjustment or agencies for site plan approvals, variances, subdivisions and appeals, local and municipal courts, including minor criminal matters as may be heard in a municipal court and land use, zoning and planning matters.

 Education Law:  The firm represents students and their parents and guardians before boards of education and in administrative law proceedings and courts in connection with claims for special education and related services.

 Employment Law:  Kiernan & Strenk represents individual and corporate clients in federal and state court, in arbitrations, in administrative law proceedings and in general counseling involving that complex area of law that controls how employers must treat employees, former employees and applicants for employment.  The firm has experience in matters involving the interpretation and application of state and federal statutes and case law in areas such as employment discrimination, sexual harassment, employee benefits, wrongful discharge, employment contracts, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and others.
